Biden to campaign with Abrams in Georgia on Thursday

Former Vice President Joe Biden will campaign with Democrat Stacey Abrams in Georgia next week.

A spokeswoman for the Abrams campaign said that Biden will stump with Abrams on Thursday, though the location of the visit is still unclear.

He’s the latest in a string of big-name Democrats to support Abrams’ November race for governor against Republican Brian Kemp.

Other potential Democratic presidential contenders, including U.S. Sens. Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, have also trekked to Georgia to back her campaign. And two former presidents - Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama - have also endorsed her.
