Atlanta among worst in country for climbing income ladder

An article in the NY Times cites an economic study looking at the percentage of people who rise from one income bracket to a higher one. They found that the Atlanta area was among the worst in the country for poor children to rise out of poverty, citing such factors as availability of public transportation and quality of schools. This is a fascinating article and well worth the time to read it.
