Everyone be sure to let your US Representative know what you think of them closing the govt.

I haven't checked to verify, but I have a hunch that most all of Georgia's repub representatives voted to shut down the government. We need to let our reps know what we think of this. Let them know that we support the Affordable Care Act, that the Affordable Care Act was passed into law by both houses of Congress and upheld by the Supreme Court, that we object to them refusing to pay the governments debts, and that it's ridiculous to link the Affordable Care Act with paying government obligations. Be sure to let them know how the government shutdown will affect you, and of course let them know that it's crazy to put so many millions of Americans out of work at a time when the economy is finally starting to recover.

You can look up your US Representative contact information here:

My Rep., the Honorable Sanford Bishop, did not vote to shut down the government.

I have a full blown teabagger repub, who naturally is in favor of the shutdown. I have already sent him an email and politely (but in no uncertain terms) told him what I think of it.

Even with a teabagger Rep., it's still your duty to call, write, complain, and generally make a nuisance of yourself. I salute you.

Kind of like beating my head against a brick wall and/or pissing in the wind, but I felt a need to voice my opinion. And this asshole is running for senate. Maybe he'll lose out all around, but unfortunately we have lots of idiots in the wings waiting to take his place.

I've been letting my rep (Tom Graves) hear form me every couple of days. Not that it will have any impact on how he votes, he's one of the biggest tea-baggers in the House, but at least he'll know that not everyone in his district agrees with him.
