Tim Walz touches down in Macon and greets local Democrats ahead of campaign stop

Tim Walz has arrived in Macon ahead of his campaigning efforts in Georgia Tuesday.

Walz, who is the governor of Minnesota and Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, landed at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport just before 10 p.m. on Monday. He will give brief remarks at 10 a.m. Tuesday and leave for another campaign stop in Atlanta afterwards.

The remarks will be a closed press event.

Walz stepped onto the tarmac to enthusiasm from local Democrats, including State Reps. Miriam Paris and David Lucas and Macon-Bibb County Mayor Pro Tempore Seth Clark. After greeting the group, Walz took the motorcade out of the airport.
