But now, three days before Election Day, even some Republicans acknowledge the vice presidents additional paths to victory.
Harris has spent two full days this week amping up supporters across the Sun Belt, including here at the Atlanta Civic Center in downtown Atlanta on Saturday afternoon. She heads next to North Carolina, where she will speak to supporters in Charlotte on Saturday night; and she spent all day Thursday in the West, with rallies in Phoenix, Reno and Las Vegas.
She definitely is in a more competitive crouch than Biden was, said Brian Robinson, a GOP strategist in Georgia. The numbers for Biden in Georgia were atrocious. I mean, there were some, like the New York Times polling back in the summer or spring, it had Trump up more than 10 points you never see that in Georgia.
The scene in downtown Georgia Saturday afternoon Harris, rallying thousands of supporters against the backdrop of the citys skyline, flanked by signs that said freedom showed just how far Democrats have come in the state.

(4,391 posts)these headlines drive me crazy. It seems like all the media have forgotten how to put together a meaningful headline. This one, for example, means just the opposite to me from what the article, itself, says. If you say "competitive crouch" to me it suggest being on the lost dog end of a poll. Instead, they mean it to say she's competitive against T. Well... duh... she's MORE than just competitive if the polls weren't so skewed towards T. We can't get a decent poll. And that's all going to play into T's new "stop the steal" court cases. ARGH!

(4,192 posts)It's a sports metaphor that alienates half the population, and it reinforces the horse-race notion instead of the true stakes we're facing. I hate it so much I want to eat my own teeth.

(4,391 posts)My dog did a very good job os it when I got my first uppers. I was in a panic, but the dentist had heard it before and laughed when I finally got out the words "My dog ate my teeth!" (LOL) Wasn't funny at the time, but I sure can laugh at it now.
