Murder Suspect Leaves Hawaii After Gaining Court Clearance

Christopher Deedy Suspected Of Murdering Kollin Elderts On Nov. 5 Back Home In Virginia

27-year-old Christopher Deedy returned to his home in Virginia Saturday after gaining special permission to leave Oahu while awaiting trial.

According to Deedy's lawyer for his criminal proceedings, Brook Hart, Circuit Judge Karen Ahn granted the special permission Friday afternoon.

He will not return to his normal work as a State Dept. agent, according to Hart. He will continue working for the department as an analyst and is not permitted to have his weapon or engage in other security detail.

Under the special agreement Deedy must also stay within a 100 mile radius of his Northern Virginia home.
