I changed my voter registration to unaffiliated to vote in the Republican primary. I can't believe I voted for the Republican candidates. Hopefully it will help to keep the openly fascist Republicans off the November ballot.

Please read my response below yours, in regards to some of the dirty tricks they play.

(765 posts)This was a coordinated plan to make sure we have sane Republicans on the November ballot. Today is the real election in this state, too many will just vote for the R in November without a second thought. I look forward to voting against everyone I voted for today, but having Brad Little as govenor is better than a Janice McGeachin or Ammon Bundy.

(38,138 posts)I knew an election judge who was a repub but registered as a dem so she could fill one of the dem judge positions. I suspect there is going to be a whole lot of that going on this fall & I'm not sure our side is paying attention.

Sometimes you got to look at the big picture.

(10,838 posts)here in VA and voted for Ron Paul just to muck up the RepubliQan presidential primary. I don't even remember who was running then, funny enough, but I hated all of them. Including him.

(26,607 posts)often register as Republicans to vote in the Republican primaries. The problem with that is one, about half of those said they'd be voting for the most reasonable Republican choice, and the other half said they'd vote for the most extreme in the hopes that would then move people to vote for the Democrat in the general election. The two groups essentially cancelled each other out. The other problem was that the vast outnumbering of registered Republicans to registered Democrats in the state meant that all too often there seemed to be no point in Democrats running for local or even state wide offices.
Let each party decide who it wants to nominate. Just work very hard for Democrats, and maybe even run for office yourself.
