Great reporting from @letsgomathias about the far-right, violence-prone movement seizing power in ID

one other thought on this piece. idk if it would turn the tide, but opponents to these radicals have *got* to hammer on the fact they're all transplants from California. growing up, "damn Californians" was practically the Idaho state motto.

Great reporting from @letsgomathias about the far-right, violence-prone movement seizing power in Idaho through cruelty and intimidation. https://huffpost.com/entry/far-right-idaho_n_628277e2e4b0c84db7282bd6?29e

If what it describes isn't happening in your own red state yet, it unfortunately probably will. These kooks are on a mission, have made serious inroads to our state and local government and appear unwilling to stop at nothing to get what they want.

Always voting Democratic in the general, I registered as a Republican several years ago in order to gain a voice in very red Idaho. The repub party closed the once open primaries to registered repubs 10-15 years ago making that decision necessary. Later on today I will hold my nose, cast my ballot and walk back home shaking my head while knowing that voting for Little over McGeachin, Simpson over Smyth, etc. is the best I can do to help steer Idaho away from the abyss. Sometime tonight, this state will know the path it decided to take.
