Rauner calls Mendoza and Dems rascals and scoundrels she says Rauner lies
Even with an ocean separating them, Illinois Comptroller Susana Mendoza managed to get under the skin of Gov. Bruce Rauner.
Rauner, fresh back from a 12-day trade mission to Poland and Germany, closed his return news conference by chiding Mendoza for reporting this week that the state had racked up more late payment fees under his administration than in the previous 18 years combined.
Mendoza pointed out that the state’s two-year budget stalemate under Rauner — and resulting backlog of unpaid bills — had caused the state to be hit with up to $1.14 billion in prompt payment penalties since July 2015.
That was $100 million more than the total from 1998 to 2015.

I have been telling anyone that will or will not listen, Rauner's goal all along is to bankrupt our state. That way he and his billionaire buddies can step in, privatize everything, buy it up for a song and a dance, dump it all after raising prices on what should be public goods and services, showing a huge profit for himself and his buddies, then laugh all the way to the bank. It's called vulture capitalism. We, the hard working citizens of Illinois will then be taxed even more to correct the situation and the repukes will blame the democrats. He's needs to be defeated resoundingly in November. And oh, THANK YOU Susana Mendoza, Mike Madigan and anyone else who is standing and fighting this madness.
