As Rockfords push for a casino continues, at least one proposal appears to be in the works.
On Tuesday, Hard Rock International CEO Jim Allen and Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen plan to announce the proposed development of Hard Rock Casino in Rockford.
Allen and Nielsen will be at the former Clock Tower Resort at 7801 E. State Street. The announcement is expected around noon.

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) -- As Rockford's push for a casino continues, at least one proposal appears to be in the works.
On Tuesday, Hard Rock International CEO Jim Allen and Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen plan to announce the proposed development of Hard Rock Casino in Rockford.
Allen and Nielsen will be at the former Clock Tower Resort at 7801 E. State Street. The announcement is expected around noon.
Last month, Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed the state's gaming expansion bill into law, giving Rockford and five other sites permission for land-based casinos.
The city of Rockford has offered the following timetable for casino expansion.
July 25: Last day for interested proposers to submit written questions
August 1: Responses to questions distributed via addendum and on the Citys website
Aug. 16: Request for Proposals responses due by 2 p.m.
Aug. 19-Sept. 13: City follow-up questions to proposers, evaluation
September 16: Evaluation team submits recommendations to City Council
Sept. 23: Public Hearing
By Sept. 30: City Council certifies proposers
Before Oct. 25: Applications filed with Illinois Gaming Board
