They moved me and the rest of the faculty up because there was not enough others who showed up this morning due to the weather so we get them. I'm so thankful for Governor Pritzker! My former colleagues in Indiana are still waiting to be put on the list!
I have been in person teaching 600 elementary children per week since August, so I'm very relieved.

(17,757 posts)The County says they will call us on Monday or Tuesday for our appointment for shot 2. A few weeks after that, I am going to be in a public place with an anti masker and I am going to put my mask in my pocket, put on my best "sick" face, and start having a coughing fit.
Allow me my fantasy...

(14,268 posts)I'm in Southern Illinois, and we are supposed to get a huge - for us - snowstorm next week. They wanted to get us out of the way in case they have to close the health office next week.
As to your plans post vaccination, that might be too much fun! Haha!

(8,008 posts)I did have a down day yesterday but feel great today. Counting down to my vaccine #2 day! I'm already planning to take the next day off as anecdotal evidence suggests I will need it!

(14,268 posts)He was not looking forward to having to fill a bunch of positions with substitutes on Tuesday of next week. We still might be out for snow, but now he doesn't have to worry about it!
I just got it 10 minutes ago, and so far so good. I had a slight reaction to the first one within 5 minutes of getting it, so this is better so far. Fingers crossed!

(484 posts)My arm is sore enough to be "ouchie" when I reach for something, like a bad bruise. I had a vague headache last night but today thats gone. My husband has had no reaction (we managed to get scheduled together).
They automatically scheduled us for the second shot in 3 weeks. Were keeping our fingers crossed that theres enough vaccine and we dont get cancelled.
Were in southern California.

(8,008 posts)My reaction was similar except I did notice I was groggy the next day. Just a little off. I'm a physics teacher and we are online this week (we alternate). I may only have noticed the groggy because of my subject. I had a bit more trouble concentrating on problems I know really well than normal. I felt absolutely fine on the 2nd day after and today just a fading arm soreness.
I'll be a week behind you in getting fully vaccinated, with Moderna I have to way 4 weeks for #2.
Good Luck!
