2. Fine but the rain made it a sleepless couple days. Thanks for asking!

5. my dogs LOVE the new pond in our back lawn.

Luckily, the house is a fair bit uphill from there. The neighbors on the other side look like they might be floating for a while.

6. We have friends with flooded basements, but everyone is ok.

I'm hoping we avoid the predicted high winds and tornado activity.
My cats have been freaked out and hiding in closets- they need a break.

9. It's been dry here in Carol Stream for a while, but the wind is definitely picking up.

My husband is heading home early from Vernon Hills- I'm hoping the storms just peter-out.

8. Water In My Basement But.....

I still have my legs, my life and my house. Thank God!!! I really feel for the people of Boston, Mass and West, Texas. My prayers are with them.

11. back yard full of water but that`s about it

yesterday about two inches of rain and hail all in 4-5 minutes. at least our soil moisture is back up to normal. now if the weather will stabilize out till fall the crops will be back to normal.

13. couldn't believe the pics on the news

went out in my area to see what was going on and had a hard time navigating the streets--so many blocked off, so many flooded, so many cars floating in the water. thought about trying to make it up to the store and thought naah. maybe tomorrow.
