I'd like to give a big shout-out to Indiana's Dems in the House.

Scott Pelath, Ed DeLaney, Shelly VanDenburgh, Terri Austin, Greg Porter, Linda Lawson and all the other Dems who rise to challenge the extreme idiocy and ideology on the other side of the aisle on a daily basis...and get nothing in return...

...except my utmost respect.

Job well done...you do your constituents proud.

I have freeper relatives in your home state.

Collectively, the above are a proverbial drop of rain in the desert.

The GOP is literally selling the state down the river -- on taxes, safety, schools, you name it.

The Democrats put forth a lot of motions and amendments that just make plain sense. But almost always, they get shot down because (I've come to conclude) the persons sponsoring them have a D after their names. For God's sake -- they voted down a motion the other day that would have regulated how much square footage that homes that are converted to apartments must have. That is a true safety issue, especially with absentee landlords who don't do much for their tenants in the first place.

I could go on but it's clear that dumb-assery and ideology rule supreme.

The Democrats see the big picture, and they see trouble coming for this state. But no one is listening. But they keep trying. That's why I admire and respect them.
