Congressional candidate Trey Hollingsworth won't release tax returns
GOP 9th Congressional District candidate Trey Hollingsworth confirmed this week he's not planning to release his tax returns before the November election.
His Democratic challenger, Shelli Yoder, had pressed him to do so.
Hollingsworth told the News & Tribune in New Albany that a financial disclosure form required of congressional candidates offered enough detail. He argued Yoder was trying to distract voters.
"I think elections are about how we're going to get more done because what people are tired of is this very thing," Hollingsworth told the newspaper. "This very distraction from real results that we want to see in Washington.”
