The two Iowa teenagers were motivated to kill their high school Spanish teacher because of frustration over a bad grade in the teachers class, prosecutors said Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, for the first time in court documents posted in online court records. DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) Two Iowa teenagers killed their high school Spanish teacher last year because of frustration over a bad grade, prosecutors said Tuesday in court documents that for the first time reveal a possible motive.
The documents were filed ahead of a hearing Wednesday where a judge will hear arguments on whether to suppress any of the evidence against Willard Miller and Jeremy Goodale, who are charged with murdering high school Spanish teacher Nohema Graber in the small town of Fairfield.
A lawyer for Miller is asking the court in Fairfield to invalidate four search warrants and suppress evidence from Millers home, comments he made to police and information taken from his cellphone and the social media platform Snapchat.
Grabers body was found in a Fairfield park Nov. 3, 2021, hidden under a tarp, wheelbarrow and railroad ties. She had been beaten to death with a baseball bat. Miller and Goodale were 16 at the time.

"Over the last year, Iowa's violent crime rate ticked up by 13.9%, more than double the national increase. The increase in violence was led by homicide. There were 111 murders committed in Iowa in 2020, an 85% increase from the 60 murders reported in the state in 2019."

Chris Hayes/MSNBC is covering the rise in crime in Red states compared to Blue states. OK is at 9% while CA is 6% and NY almost 5%. Of course the GQP states do not acknowledge this and lie about it instead. My, my, what a surprise.

I only listened for a few minutes. Not good for my blood pressure.
