Iowa

By now I'm sure nearly everyone has heard about the building that collapsed in Davenport. If not, just go to kwqc.com or basically any other news source in Iowa and beyond.
There are at least 80 families that are homeless and one woman had to have her leg amputated to be freed from the rubble. There are about three or four people that are unaccounted for as well. Now what I want to know is why hasn't governor Reynolds made an appearance at the scene? She's hell bent on sending National Guard troops to the Texas/Mexico border even though Iowa is nowhere near the border. And I have called her office a couple of times to ask why. The staffers basically said they wouldn't talk about it. Now to be fair, she did declare a disaster and the victims will be getting financial help. But it sure would be nice if she'd show up and at least offer support for the victims.
I'd be willing to bet that the owner(s) of the building ate Reynolds supporters and will not face any punishment from her for shoddy conditions. The city may take action, but I doubt if Reynolds will.
I just hope that the missing people can be accounted for.
