Some more news about former regent Mary Andringa

Yeah not surprised that it had to be more than the lack of time hot air she gave out....

An Iowa regent has long worked as a paid director for a furniture company that recently landed a lucrative no-bid contract extension with the University of Iowa.

Mary Andringa resigned Wednesday from the Board of Regents, one year into a six-year term, citing a lack of time.

Gov. Terry Branstad's office says Andringa disclosed her work for Michigan-based Herman Miller and "avoided any appearance of conflict."

Still, her resignation came after the Des Moines Register raised questions about the university's contract with Herman Miller and its local dealer. A rival argues the deal was potentially illegal due to the lack of competition.
