Terry's little bible reading marathon is going on now;

A multi-day, Bible-reading marathon began Tuesday outside the courthouse, and similar events will commence in three other local counties today.

The statewide event aims to feature Bible readings – some lasting for 80 uninterrupted hours – in each of Iowa’s 99 counties. A proclamation issued April 26 by Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad encouraged residents to take part.

Delaware County Supervisor Shirley Helmrichs said a group plans to read the Bible beneath a gazebo on the east side of the courthouse from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. for six consecutive days.

“It is a small group," she said. "They are being quiet, and they definitely have a right to be there.”

Am I the only person in the state that's not comfortable with this?
