Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and Convention Complex in Cedar Rapids. His event is set to start at 8 p.m.

Trump will also be stopping in Davenport at the Adler Theater at 4 p.m. on Thursday. You can register for tickets to that event here.

7. Just talked to a friend of mine who works at a bar downtown

This is a big weekend in downtown Davenport and she told me that she and other servers should make a ton of money this weekend. But then I told her about trump's appearance at the Adler theater and she instantly got upset. She told me that the trump people do not leave good tips, if any. I have to go downtown to take care of some business. I think my brownskinned daughter is coming with me so she can say how much she dislikes trump.
