Flooding here in Iowa

Yeah, just what we don't need right now.

Dangerous amounts of rain have fallen along Highway 20 and north and additional rain is still possible. Due to the already saturated grounds and significant amounts of rain, dangerous flooding is occurring. Areas to the north have seen anywhere from 2 to over 12 inches of rain. Areas along the Cedar and Turkey River are dealing with moderate flooding and river levels are expected to continue to rise above flood stage.

If you come across a road or area covered in water, TURN AROUND! Keep in mind most flooding deaths do occur in vehicles that are trying to drive through a flooded area..

We were supposed to survey a 15 mile highway corridor along 30 and 10 miles went underwater. We gave up and went back East when the local bar closed because their kegs were in the cellar...

Stay dry and safe!

We only got a few sprinkles here in NM, but we did get them. Once the storm got east of the Rockies, it picked up more moisture.

The next one looks set to go out sea. I hope so.

Still raining.

Ugh.

Attention God. Please redirect the rain to places that actually need the rain.
