Wow. The Dubuque TH actually took Agent Orange to task for his behavior

I was not expecting this

Those who have been closely following the presidential campaign might have been left with a question after the bombshell recording of Donald Trump in 2005 exploded on the news media Friday. The question is, “Why?”

Not why, as in why would Trump say such things. But why, as in why is anyone shocked or surprised to hear Trump talk that way? What is it about Trump that causes anyone to believe he considers women as equals, not sex objects?

It’s certainly not the language he uses. In this campaign alone, he has made numerous overtly sexist remarks.

When Fox News’ Megyn Kelly tried to question him on that behavior, noting that he had called women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals,” she didn’t get much of an answer — until later on Twitter, where he called Kelly a bimbo and suggested she had “blood coming out of her … wherever.”

And our local dumb fucks GOP commenters are having a collective fit in the comments section. Here's a sample of them...

Enough already. Get over it. The TH now are acting like spoiled little brats. We have all heard comments such as what Trump said. If you haven't you are lying. This opinion just shows exactly how the TH like other liberal media are in the tank with Hillary.

Stay out of politics, TH. You're barely suited to cover local festivals, much less weigh in on things that actually matter.

When Sarah Palin was called the "C" word by democrats and laughed at by the liberal media, where was the TH editorial board? Many news agencies have documented mulitple quotes over the years from the foul mouth corrupt serial criminal and unrepentant liar using the "F" bomb and demeaning those serving under her highness. How hypocritical, how one sided and how blatant is the attempt by the TH to shove this evil America hating communist upon an uninformed public. Yes Trump said some things in private, things often repeated in men's circles, but Hillary has said and done things far worse even worthy of imprisonment and the TH sanctimonously tears into Trump. Don't lecture your listeners about division when you yourselves side with the democrats who routinely divide people by race, sex, religion for political gain. Everyone knows except for the blind Hillary is corrupt, so corrupt people have lost their lives because of her selfish evil ways. Trump is not corrupt, in fact he admits he uses the same tax loopholes the Clinton's use but they refuse to admit it. Trump is the last hope for America, because Hillary promises to double down on Obama's America destroying policies, and Russia promises if Hillary is elected President they will declare war on America and their nuclear weapons are far superior to ours. If Hillary is elected President our futures will be destroyed, problem is her defenders are incapable of seeing it..

In their perceived post-election "apocalypse," these fits they are having will intensify and likely become violent.

Prepare for Derangement, Act II.

BUT, law enforcement at all levels will have to be very vigilant--as will those of us who value peace, civility, social respect and order, constitutionality, and justice. Clearly, the wacko wingers and nutters and haters have been whipped up into such a paranoid, panicked, and frenzied state that law and order will likely be at risk in the aftermath of this election. Conspiratorial thinking will spread exponentially, and certain types of people will crack, break, unhinge, go berserk. Watch for a run on guns and ammunition, k-rats, etc.

That said, local, county and state law enforcement apparatus--or individuals within them--have, to varying degrees across this country, become similarly factionalized and some are complicit in the violation of rights of people of whom they are intolerant. The principal of equal protection is currently under stress or near a breaking point, and the nature of law enforcement and protection anywhere in response to post-election rightwing extremism remains an open question; especially in red states. I imagine we'll fare a bit better here in the First and Second Districts compared to our liberal comrades in the Third and, especially, the Fourth.
