80 degrees on Nov. 1? Trees just starting to turn? Gardens still growing?

There's something happening here. What it is is fairly clear.

Cut my grass yesterday because it needed it. A decade ago I would quit mowing on Labor Day.

Sure glad our worthless media has all the time for emails and none for climate change.

Usually by now we have the fireplace running and the place all tightened up for winter.
We are running 10 to 20 degrees over normal daily.

High temperatures dropped 10 degrees in NM today and will fall farther as the week goes on. We're still in the 60s for highs, so it's still very comfortable with a light cardigan.

But yeah, this has been a weird fall.

Trees not changing much here in SW Missouri. Flowers still blooming. Grass is still green and growing. One nearby yard has crocuses blooming. I don't recall having seen crocuses in fall before. October was more like August, except for maybe 2 or 3 days with actually seasonal temps.

The one thing I noticed is that the squirrels are almost black and their fur is thicker than usual. That usually indicates a cold winter, but they are saying it will be mild. Much more weather like today and I'll be able to plant a garden before long.

Perhaps it's the hot air from the Trump rallies confusing Mother Nature?

We haven't mowed in three months because nothing's growing. Even the weeds are withering away. There's been no significant rain in four months. Some of the South has it much worse. For some areas it hasn't rained since April. Acres of forests are going up in flames, crops are dying, farmers are having to bring in feed for their animals where they used to grow it themselves. Other areas have the opposite problem. These weather extremes seem to be becoming the norm. And the worthless media as well as the useless Congress fiddles while the rest of us burn. Or drown.

Granted, they are small and not as sweet as in August but still. Even have a couple peppers still growing.

I don't think I'll mow again this year. It doesn't really need it now. I was thinking maybe doing it one more time this year but it can wait until spring.
