(from an email from the J.D.Scholten campaign)
We couldn't be more grateful.
2017's 4th quarter fundraising totals came out late last night and #TeamScholten raised $174,000 from over 2,700 individual donors! This total includes contributions from all 39 counties in the district, as well as all 50 states and Washington D.C. Perhaps most impressively, we outraised Steve King almost 2 to 1!
Raising nearly twice as much money as Steve King did makes it clear that this seat is absolutely in play in 2018. Help us keep this momentum going strong with a contribution today!
Additionally, we've signed up over 500 volunteers, including at least one from each of the 39 counties in the district.
People are energized by J.D.'s message. Our campaign is about beating Steve King, but our grassroots movement is about rebuilding the working class in Iowas 4th District. The incredible number of volunteers that have signed up shows that we're building the kind of movement its going to take to win. Show your support for this movement with a donation today!
Standing Tall for All,
Team Scholten

(63,198 posts)Not sure what your meaning is.
My take from a ways away is that either has much better positions than King.
Just pointing out that one has been a much better candidate and has a much better chance to win than the other. Scholten is running a solid campaign here.

I am hard pressed to say any ill of any democratic candidate.
And I certainly hope whichever candidate is not picked to face off against King will back the winner 100% and campaign on their behalf.
