Everyone ok in the Iowa group after today's weather?

We’re ok up in Dubuque.

Just some rain today but not much more than that.

1. Quiet on the west side of the state.

I didn't even know anything happened until an hour ago.
Photos and video of Marshalltown look terrible.

2. Marshalltown is my hometown

My brother and sister in law live there. In fact, he works at Lennox, which was absolutely devastated. Thank goodness he was off work for the day and home on the opposite side of town.

I have always thought that the Marshall County courthouse was the most beautiful in the state. It's so sad to see it with the top blown off.

We can be grateful there were not too many injuries and no deaths. But thinking of all the rebuilding that will need to be done ….

3. Have an SIL in Marshalltown

they are fine but without electricity when last we spoke to them. No damage to their house or vehicle.

She works downtown and they were rushed into "the tunnel." If anyone knows what that is. I do not.

We are over by IC so we had some rain in the morning and that is all.
