Iowa loses 'best state' status; falls to number 14

Not surprising

Iowa has lost its 'best state' status to Washington state, according to new rankings from U.S. News and World Report.

Iowa now falls to number 14, behind Florida and ahead of North Dakota.

The report takes several factors into consideration including health care, education, economy, infrastructure, opportunity, fiscal stability, crime and natural environment.

The report shows Iowa fell in rankings when it came to health care education and infrastructure.

in the old confederacy.

I often tell people that Iowa is really envious and wants to be the new Mississippi. Old Miss is #48. We can get there with a little more Republican leadership.

Surprised to see us at only #23 in infrastructure. Well, as the Trumpist party continues to starve the cities we should drop fast. Smaller towns especially where they can barely afford to patch the potholes.
