No matter what happens tonight, if Kobach goes down for the third time in six years (governor, senator, and this year attorney general), I will have happiness is my heart. My dislike for Kobach is unquantifiable.
This site currently shows him losing. And democratic incumbent Governor Kelly winning - both by about 10%.

(15,624 posts)In 2018, I was asked by a fellow balloon twister/decorator (a teen in Topeka) to help her do a balloon drop for Shriners in a hotel ballroom. She had no experience, I had very little. One thousand balloons in a large net with a ripcord and hung from the ceiling. Shriners were pissed because they thought we were going to hide it somehow (would have been impossible the way they wanted it positioned so the Topeka decorator and her mom, took it down and turned the balloons into columns and arches, etc. Anyway, the hotel was impressed with us, and they recommended us to Kris Kobach who was wanting a balloon drop for his campaign. Unfortunately, they wouldn't give me the number of the person requesting it because I wanted to mess with them, and the teen and her mom are Mexican-American and think (correctly) that he's racist.

(1,050 posts)Kansas results are the only thing keeping me sane right now. In addition to the two races you mentioned it looks like our Rep Sharice Davids will win.
I detest Kobach as well.

(15,624 posts)I was honestly shocked at the abortion vote - especially because like a week before I took my yearly trip out to Western Kansas to twist balloons at a small county fair and saw nothing but Vote Yes signs (heavily Hispanic Catholic area), but I think all the congressional districts went for Vote No.
