Ah, here we go. This is state Sen. Cynthia Dill of Cape Elizabeth, a candidate for the seat currently held by Republican Olympia Snowe. Dill is the creator of one of the most interesting economic development schemes ever advanced by someone not named Ponzi. She gets paid for writing her blog, Dill’s Conventional Wisdom, by her own political action committee, Dill Leadership PAC. Last year, she wrote checks to herself for a nifty four grand for turning out 31 short essays, which comes to about $129 each.

Here’s the beginning of one of them:

“Pretend for a moment that I am legislator (sic). Now imagine me readings (sic) bills that would deny legal immigrants welfare benefits.”

Apparently, proof reading costs extra.

It sounds as if the current Senators from Maine are comfortably ensconced.

1. A bit unfair to Matt Dunlap

It will be tough to beat Olympia. Maybe the tea party will beat her in the primary. (We can dream.)

I don't think Jon Hinck or Cynthia Dill have a prayer of winning the second CD. The other candidate is a non-starter. Dunlap is the only one, IMHO, who could possibly win state-wide.

2. perhaps the orginal comment is by a paid koch boy

perhaps this orginal comment is made by a member of the republican party who is funded
by the dirty dozen crew.
I agree that sen. Dill has an uphill battle; but like many others who have supported sen. Snowe in the past she has sided to many times with the status quo on the side of big business.
It's time she retired and enjoyed living in this great state.
I'm sure that many voters she had in the past feel this way.
