Recently I was listening to a discussion on what the Democrats should do with the realization that the Republicans have all the power. One of the members of the panel was a gentleman that I have always liked his thoughts, but I can never remember his name. His response was do nothing. Give them enough rope and they will hang themselves. I agree entirely. Yes, there will be pain but, the people who elected Trump and company, will suffer at least as much, if not more, than the progressives. This is the only way to pound some sense of reality into the conservatives heads. They may not be smart enough to figure out that they are being sold a bill of goods but when they hurt, they will know it is something they do not like. The only ones they can blame is the Republicans. May you all have a Happy New Year.

3. I agree. They believe all the Fox stuff, and even worse news.

They think Obama bailed out the banks on his own, started TARP, and caused the great recession. They think unemployment is up. Anyway, there is no way to stop them from believing the ridiculous lies. When I hear them talk, I think any halfway logical person should see the inconsistencies in what they are saying. It's almost like a religion or cult of some sort, that just goes around spouting obvious, fact free nonsense...but about half of America.

4. Agree when it comes to social policy legislation...

It will be horrible, but reversible. Unfortunately, destroying public education will start affecting future generations immediately. Privatizing public lands and resources could be nearly irreversible, depending upon how much damage is done and how fast resources are exploited, fouled, and/or depleted.
