...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Gray has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of southwest Maine, including the
following area, Coastal Cumberland.

* Until 11 PM EDT this evening

* A landslide has blocked the Presumpscot River downstream of
Westbrook. River levels behind the slide are rapidly rising.

* Expect water levels upstream of the landslide to continue to rise.
Downstream of the slide, sudden changes in river levels are
possible if the slides breaks.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons with interests near the river should closely monitor the
situation and be prepared to take action if water levels change.
