Supposed to get a foot of the white stuff.
Not quite sure if I'm ready for this (psychology) but I should have started the snowblower after it's long summer slumber...
Oh well, that's why we live in Maine, right?
Might get my first skiing at Sugarloaf soon...

(28,258 posts)Already got the white covering on the ground. I expect to be in the 8-10" belt before it's over. So both vehicles in the garage, no digging out for me!

It's worth its weight in gold in weather like this.
Got a wall-mounted propane heater if the power goes out.
Swifts built a nest in the uninsulated fireplace room chimney this summer
- unusable until I get it cleaned and lined.
When I win the Megabucks, it's going to get a makeover, proper woodstove and chimenee...

Got my canned pea soup, baked beans, tea & sugar, hot chili and Tabasco - to get me through.
's that time of yeah.
We got some the past few days but it all blew away with the Chinook. They say it will be worse tonight. But during this afternoon the temperature has gone up above freezing and looks like it will hover around the 40s and 50s for a few days.
The biggest autumn ski festival in the region was canceled again this year due to no snow. Happened two years ago which was the fist time ever.
