Another Glorious Day in Central Maine.

Blistering hot at noon. @ 90 degrees, for sure. Yet it stayed cool in the house because of of the cross-flow winds. I don't have an air conditioner and really don't need one. Thunderheads built up in the afternoon and I got a 15 minute deluge. Garden's watered! Cleared out, temps dropped 15-20 degrees and made for the perfect few hours on the deck.

One weird thing...except for tics, there are really no bugs that require Off. Spent 3 hours on the deck with no bugs pissing me off.

Just across from Portsmouth, NH. We’re sailing to Kennebunkport and it’s lovely on the seashore. Upper 70s and breezy.

I’ve sailed among the Acadia islands on my sailing mentor’s 45-foot yawl but my wife and I have a Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 which is a stout little ship with a remarkably comfortable cabin with many amenities.

Last year, we sailed from NY to the Florida Keys. Here’s my post about our voyage:

Our journey this year was to get to Maine so we could claim the East Coast, a totally meaningless accomplishment.

After K-port, we’re heading home. I love voyaging on a boat.

Out board, a day sailor, but we did hug the coast up to Boothbay Harbor on a few occasions.....nothing quite like a sail boat cruiser.

But some rain may be coming. We could use some. The pollen is still glommed onto the car. Kinda ruins the look....

It made it to +70F today but with a chilly breeze. Had to have the heat on again last night. Day after tomorrow, we'll be in the 90s. The garden will like it.

Hope it's not too hot for Skippa with all his fur!

humidity, that won't last.

Not good about the bugs. We've noticed over the last several years there have been fewer bugs when hiking (excepting ticks, of course) and windshields and grilles never look as splattered as they did when I was a kid. Just another canary in the coal mine, I guess.
