Michigan
Related: About this forumIt was one beautiful Michigan afternoon yesterday...
Was relaxing after all the work was finished. Everything is greening up awesomely with the wet weather weve been getting. Our grass clippings compost pile is triple what it was for all of last year. Six mows already and May isnt even done. All things have been repaired and everything is planted and growing. It was time to enjoy the day.

(27,285 posts)I am FAR behind schedule but I don't actually plant until the end of the month.
Our chance of afternoon rain is diminishing but I'm not paying attention. Last Friday we were at a 60% chance, then a 40% chance and then zip. We ended up getting a pretty healthy downpour. From now on the only weather predictions I'll pay attention to will come from me keeping an eye on the sky.

(10,779 posts)The pollinators are all around me, field after field, acres worth. We had to start mowing at the end of April if not Id need to get a bushwacker to make any inroads to the garden. Plus the absolute imperative to keep the grasses low for tick control. No Lyme!

(21,750 posts)My grass is growing incredibly fast, I mow every 4 or 5 days. And my yard usually takes 3 emptying of the bag, it's been 4 and a hlaf lately. Really thick and lush.
And eerything is on steroids. We've got Peonies 3 ffet tall already. Some of our hostas look almost full. Ligularia looks full Summer with leaves almost 2 feet across already.

(10,779 posts)Even the wild berries that are growing all over our yard and in the fields are even producing fruit this year. Got 4 of the smallest strawberries ever not even the size of a small stone, with a flavor that totally blows you away. So intense pure berry flavor it lasts for a few minutes lingering on the tongue. Mwah!💋.
