Norway-Vulcan School District bond proposal on November ballot
NORWAY, Mich. (WLUC) - Students in a Vulcan Middle School social studies class work through the stuffy heat on mismatched desks.
Norway-Vulcan School District Superintendent Lou Steigerwald says the students have concerns about the school’s condition.
“I was in a classroom last spring, and one of the questions the kids asked me was, when are we gonna fix up this school? So yeah, the kids do notice that stuff is worn out,” Steigerwald said. “The floors are worn like I said, their lockers in the middle school and the high school really, really need to be replaced.”
Steigerwald says the school’s athletic facilities also need improvements.
