Walz campaigning in Grand Rapids and Lansing this week
Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz is scheduled to make his first solo campaign trip to Michigan on Thursday and Friday following the presidential debate Tuesday night between Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Walz will speak Thursday at a campaign rally in Grand Rapids and visit Lansing on Friday, according to the Harris-Walz campaign.
Walz's campaigning in Michigan this week will kick off a swing through eight battleground states for the Harris-Walz campaign, the campaign announced Sunday.
Walz made a two-day visit in August to Michigan with Harris at the Detroit Metro Airport in Romulus and the next day at a UAW hall in Wayne, and Harris visited the Great Lakes State on Labor Day.
