(Detroit Free Press) September — the last month of summer astronomically — is on pace to be one of the driest on record, forecasters said Monday, noting that next week's weather in southeast Michigan is expected to be warmer than usual, with temperatures in the 80s and high 70s, and almost no rain.

Sunday marked the ninth consecutive day that Detroit has gone without a drop of rain.

So, weather watchers suggested, get outside and enjoy it, but, you'll likely want to water your lawn.

"We're just enjoying a pretty remarkable stretch of nice weather for mid-September," Bryan Tilley, a National Weather Service meteorologist told the Free Press. "The stats are impressive for this time of year in this part of the Great Lakes." ..............(more)

1. I'm wondering what kind of Winter we will be having

One 'forecast' I read said it would be dryer and warmer, kind of like last year. I'm hoping for a hard freeze so that the flea situation won't be as horrendous as it has been, this year.
