Michigan website helps identify AI images in effort to combat election misinformation
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -Separating fact from fiction is the goal of a new website launched by the Michigan Attorney General. It gives Michigan voters insight on how to recognize artificial intelligence in campaign ads.
Leaving the public questioning whats real and whats fake is why Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel felt the need to create a website, giving voters a guide on how to spot AI-generated content.
This comprehensive guide is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure everyone can confidently navigate the digital landscape and stay informed with the facts they need to make their voices heard this election, Nessel said.
We are less than 30 days away from an extremely important presidential election. Every single election in our nations history, and our states history, and in this community is an option for us to decide what direction we want to go in, said Aghogho Edevbie the Michigan Deputy Secretary of State.
