ANN ARBOR, MI U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, campaigned with Bernie Sanders in Ann Arbor just before the Michigan presidential primary last week.
In an interview on Fox News two days after Sanders lost the state to Joe Biden, the congresswoman complained about voter suppression, citing hours-long lines of University of Michigan students trying to vote in Ann Arbor as an example.
"I think one thing that isnt being talked about is the rampant voter suppression in this country, Ocasio-Cortez said in response to a question about why Biden was winning.
"Right there in Ann Arbor where we had that rally, those kids were waiting three hours in line to vote in Michigan.

(34,075 posts)mail in voting. Everyone for any reason could vote by mail. No problem for anyone, unless you wouldnt vote unless it was by internet. I didnt hear of any Boomer having a problem.

Unfortunately, the current laws in Michigan do not allow us to implement Election Day registration at polling places, so everyone who wanted to register on Election Day, and the 14 days leading up to Election Day, was required to come to one place, city hall, Beaudry said
