GRAND BLANC, Mich. (WJRT) - Turmoil erupted in Genesee Countys largest school district ahead of Mondays school board meeting.
Nearly 100 people gathered outside Grand Blanc High School at the corner of Saginaw Street and Holly Road to protest against Amy Facchinellos election to the school board. People who started the protest believe Facchinello follows the QAnon conspiracy.
QAnon supporters have been accused of spreading baseless conspiracy theories and false information on social media about COVID-19, the Black Lives Matter movement and the 2020 presidential election. Some theories touted by the group are also anti-semitic.
A Grand Blanc High School senior found Facchinellos Twitter page, which they believe shows support for QAnon and prompted Mondays protest.

(27,257 posts)The population demographics are over 80% white. At one time the city was home to a whole lot of General Motors executives. It has, for a long time, been a heavily GOP area, but lately has shifted a bit more to the left. Grand Blanc Township is still a deeply red area. And as someone who lived in that town, for years, from watching that video, I'm guessing a number of those 'counter protestors' are not city residents.
And, no matter the parent's politics, a good portion of the student body has ALWAYS been pretty left leaning and activist minded
Unfortunately, unless this Qster does or says something that gives them legal cause to dump her, they just might be stuck with her. Of course, now that she's been outed, I have NO doubt that eyes and ears will be on her.
