Elementary school students help pull off teacher's proposal
KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WWMT) — Wedding bells were ringing through the halls of Parkwood-Upjohn Elementary School as two Kalamazoo Public School teachers got engaged.
Kalamazoo Central High School science teacher Jovaughn Carver enlisted the help of students to propose to Parkwood-Upjohn Elementary School teacher Sarah Townsend.
The two met and became friends in 2010 when they were sophomores at Loy Norrix High School.
Both went on to graduate from Loy Norrix and began dating in 2014.
