Related: About this forumWe drove to MSP airport; have not been there since forever
but we had visitors coming. They had luggage so we drove to the arrival level, dodging the ubiquitous never ending constructions.
Looking for the airlines signs... where are they? No Alaska, no Air Canada no Delta... only Door 1, Door 2, etc.
Thankfully we communicate by text - I am a recent iPhone user - and got the door number which by then we passed, had to drive another round.
Is this new? In all airports or only here?

(1,432 posts)There is just one arrival door, as there is generally just one area for baggage carousels... as opposed to departures.

(8,513 posts)I don't think I ever picked anyone up from that airport. I was the picked up one.
question everything
(48,799 posts)otherwise it would be crazy, many congregating and shoving with luggage around one door?

(1,432 posts)Have arrivals on the top floor, with the names of airlines marked as you drive in to drop someone off. The bottom floor or lower level is for arrivals... our airport here in Charleston has arrivals & departures on the same floor. Arrivals are at the end of the departures. It's also under construction, so lots of fun trying to pick someone up. We generally sit in the arrivals parking lot that has a sign board for flights coming in and wait till the person has their luggage, they text us and then pick them up. Small airport compared to the big cities.
