2. Really foggy this morning in central Illinois.

3. In central Iowa, it's supposed to be in the 50s

with rain Christmas Eve and Christmas.

I don’t ever remember anything like that when I was a kid. We went to bed on Christmas Eve 1964 without a flake of snow on the ground, but woke up to six inches on the ground. That’s as close as it came.

4. We had a "open winter" one year at Christmas time - sucked

When we arrived at Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve - not a flake flying or on the ground.

When Mass let out it was a whiteout and we had 8 inches on the ground.

We made it home OK, and declared it a miracle...
