Minnesota distributes more than 430,000 ballots for November election
ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTTC) The November election is fast approaching, and this means the season of ballot distribution is beginning to get underway. And Minnesota is off to a fast start.
According to the Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon, local election officials in Minnesota have distributed over 430,000 absentee and mail ballots, with a total of 431,502 being distributed. County, city, and township election officials have also accepted nearly 33,000 of those ballots.
Though Minnesota isnt off to the roaring start it was in 2020 when over 1.2 million ballots were sent off in the first week, its still nearly three times higher than the total in 2016, when only just barely more than 150,000 were sent out.
Simon says that Minnesotans are eager to go out and vote, and that that there is a website for people to visit for help on voting if they feel they need it.
