Don't know about Bonoff who is challenging Paulsen for the 3rd

First, seems that Republican representative of the 3rd are there for life.

Second, Paulsen has accomplished some things. I did not like the lifting of taxes on medical devices, but this is what many of his constituents wanted and Klobuchar joined him.

Third, all Bonoff is doing, including the nice story last week in the WSJ, is tying Paulsen to Trump, even using some of the images from Hillary's ads. She really need to say what she is for, not what she is against.

Yes, attack ads work. This is what raised Hillary visibility, but at least she does say what she is for. And, Hillary is running for a vacancy, she is not trying to win against a well established incumbent.

I don't know. I see all the new yard signs for the Republicans - never mentioning the name, of course - and I don't hold much hope.

vote in lockstep with all the Rethugs, My understanding is,Mn 3 is under going a population change and the number of registered DFLers has increased significantly and a DFL candidate can finally capture this seat. If polling data comes in strong possibility of a DFL win,you will see a switch in ads. It's all about funding from the DCCC and they tend to be lacking.

Bonoff has been attempting to run for higher office for a while now. I thought I had read something about her looking to move to the 8th district after Oberstar lost and retired. Overall she has a pretty good voting record but does tend to lean conservative on some issues. Which, granted, is what it's going to take for a Democrat to win in the 3rd. I like the linking of Paulsen to Drumpf but yes, she does need to also promote herself. Hopefully the DCCC has some more money for her - given Drumpf's unpopularity in the state, the DFL might have its best shot at this seat in a long time.
