Hacker claims to have breached University of Minnesota system

A hacker struck their third target Thursday — the University of Minnesota, the Star Tribune reported.

Vigilance, the hacker, infiltrated the University in response to the recent acquittal of ex-officer Jeronimo Yanez in the shooting of Philando Castile last summer.

Tweeting the event, Vigilance said they found poor security on a University website and that some reporters would discover this in their emails.

Steven Henneberry, spokesman for the University, said in an email that he cannot confirm or deny any reported actions.
