Related: About this forumWhy are caucuses so early this year?
Or was the March date from 2016 to be part of the Super Tuesday?
They are talking about "10 days celebration of the super bowl" - will they include caucus night?

I would think that's far too long for even the very most dedicated football fan.

(26,729 posts)I do understand that I don't live in Minneapolis -- at least not now. I did for too brief a time several decades ago -- and I'm not much of a football fan. There are several teams I'm willing to root for, but none of them are in this year's Super Bowl, alas. And even if my all time favorite team were there, I'd simply be glad and hope they'd win.
I do not want to be trashing fans, but still, ten days? It seems disproportionate.

(48,842 posts)or so. We pretty much stayed out of downtown and will do so until... spring, maybe.
We got a lot of snow yesterday, many flights were cancelled, roads are still bad, had to help spouse this morning, and a neighbor, shoveling under the car and using the wire strips for the spinning wheels to move. And we got relatively less snow..
And could not help thinking: what if this were few days later, or next week?
Or, if we get it on caucus night?

Caucuses require real grass roots organizing. Wellstone made it because we have a caucus system.

(5,690 posts)Sorry folks. The Vikings didn't make it to the Super Bowl. Maybe the celebration was premature?

(28,482 posts)we've been hearing about the "10 days of celebration" for a long, long time now. Probably for a year...or maybe it just seems that way. But it started before anyone knew the Vikings would have any kind of shot at it.

(28,482 posts)This year they're 2 days after the Super Bowl so they will not conflict with the "10 days of celebration".
