I'm going, but I'm not sure who I'll be caucusing for yet.

(28,471 posts)Still torn over who to support for governor.
I really like Paul Thissen and think he would do a great job but I'm not sure how he'd do statewide. I also like Otto, and I know she's done well all over the state in the past but the issues running for auditor are different from governor and I think the Republicans and Koch types will hammer so hard on her environmental stands that they'll have outstate (especially the Range) convinced she wants them all to starve to death.
In the end, I can only say I'll support whoever gets the endorsement.

(48,806 posts)We are getting too old to schlep to a caucus on a cold, perhaps snowy February night.
These days it takes us longer to shake a simple cold and the flu is still around.
This means that I will not be a delegate to the senate convention and, for the next round, I will no longer be inundated with calls and emails from all the candidates.
All I can hope is that many candidates will choose to stay in the race to the primaries; to campaign to all of us, not just to party activists.
Yeah, I believe that caucuses disenfranchise many voters. Maybe someday we will joint the rest of the country where we select our candidates during primaries. They are more expensive but they are doing well, thank you, in other states.

Thissen has dropped out. I would expect Liebling to do so soon as well.
