Keith Ellison lists 12 voter 'rights' amid potential harassment at the polls
Aware of concerns over potential voter harassment or intimidation or just confusion over the law Attorney General Keith Ellison on Tuesday pushed out a multimedia message outlining 12 voter rights.
Some of the items arent so much rights as they are clarifications during an unprecedented election, with misinformation and a pandemic swirling.
While all the elements are grounded in state or federal law, several of those outlined by Ellison, a Democrat, directly respond to statements made by President Donald Trump, a Republican, who has sought to sow confusion over some aspects of the election process, from mail-in voting to the peaceful transition of power afterward, should Trump lose.
The messages from Ellisons office, which include a video, never mention Trump by name or either party. But the implication is clear.
