Protest Saturday at the Governor's Mansion ends with damaged cars, two citations

Two people were cited for disorderly conduct following a protest at the Governor’s Residence in St. Paul on Saturday.

The St. Paul Police Department also reported numerous tires being slashed on South Chatsworth Street near the intersection with Summit Avenue.

“Today, several groups came to St. Paul to make their voices heard,” the department posted. “The events today were largely peaceful, however there were some tense moments and confrontations.”

Police estimate that one group of 250 gathered at the Capitol, and at least 100 were on Summit Avenue.
