#Himtoo: Former JPD dispatcher's lawsuit says he was sexually harassed by a female supervisor

Former Jackson Police Department dispatcher Johnny Baskin says in a federal lawsuit that he was sexually harassed by a female supervisor and denied promotion because he is a man.

Baskin claims sex discrimination, age discrimination and retaliation in the lawsuit filed last week.
The lawsuit says that on multiple occasions, Baskin's head supervisor made inappropriate sexually charged comments and overtures to him, which he deemed inappropriate and offensive.

Baskin said in the lawsuit he always denied his female supervisor's sexual advances.

Baskin, 64, said he applied in July 2015 for the position of police communication senior dispatcher/assistant supervisor, but the position was ultimately given to a a then-34-year-old female.
