Jackson NAACP head pulled over, threatened for Forest Hill comments, he says
The Rev. Wayne McDaniels was driving home Saturday evening, he said, when he was pulled over off Fortification Street in Jackson by what appeared to be an unmarked police cruiser.
Two white men wearing plain clothes approached the vehicle, he said, one with a gun on his hip.
After giving them his license, McDaniels, the president of the Jackson chapter of the NAACP, said he soon realized this was no normal traffic stop.
You need to keep your mouth shut about the Forest Hill High School mess or were going to shut it up for you, McDaniels said he was told before the men returned to their vehicle.
